Senior Engineer (Design & Production Engineering)

Department: Engineering

To undertake senior level professional design and production engineering activities related to a product, process or system within the Fluidmaster UK Engineering department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation and management of structured project timelines to direct and execute engineering activities
  • Apply engineering knowledge and practices to all tasks of innovation, development, production engineering & problem solving
  • Participate within and manage CAE activities including CAD, CAM and simulation
  • To be accountable for the designs, manufacturing information, database entries, work-instructions and other outputs from project teams
  • Identification of and adhesion to relevant codes of practice, procedures and recognised standards
  • Problem solving / RCA within manufacture & assembly cells
  • To define standards and specifications for relevant materials, processes and activities
  • To act as a product, process or technology expert within the department


  • Knowledge of Creo Parametric or transferrable skill in comparable CAD package
  • Familiarity with standard Microsoft Office products, good working knowledge of Excel
  • High level of mechanical comprehension
  • Injection moulding process, machine & tooling knowledge
  • Polymer material knowledge
  • Excellent problem solving ability / engineering aptitude
  • Capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • An effective communicator within multi-disciplined teams

  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • Project management experience
  • Suitable industry experience with proven record of achievement
  • Injection moulding production & tooling knowledge
  • Experience of supporting the manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to relevant national and international standards (BS7000 series, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 etc.)
